It originates from a private foundation created to commemorate the life and work of the German Nobel Peace Prize laureate of 1927, Ludwig Quidde. The dependent LQS, managed by the DSF, has an endowment capital of around 178,000 euros.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the foundation is to promote research on the life and work of the Nobel Peace Prize laureate as well as to support projects in the field of peace and conflict research that are closely linked to Ludwig Quidde\u2019s life goals \u2013 the safeguarding and development of peace and freedom.<\/p>\n<p>One of the central tasks of the Ludwig Quidde Foundation is the awarding of the Ludwig Quidde Prize.
