The election took place as scheduled following the appointment of new members from the Federal Government and the German Bundestag.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Silke Launert has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2013 and has many years of parliamentary experience in the areas of law, family affairs, home affairs, and the budget. Since May 2025, the doctor of law has served as Parliamentary State Secretary at the BMFTR.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe mission of the German Foundation for Peace Research\u2014to promote and network scientific expertise and to ensure that research findings have an impact on policy and society\u2014is more important than ever 25 years after its founding,\u201d emphasizes Dr. Silke Launert. \u201cI look forward to supporting the important work of the DSF as the new Chair of the Foundation Board.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the foundation\u2019s highest governing body, the Board of Trustees determines the DSF\u2019s fundamental direction and oversees the activities of the Executive Board.
