New members of the DSF Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees of the German Peace Research Foundation (DSF) includes a total of seven members from the Federal Government and the German Bundestag, who are to be appointed at the beginning of each legislative period. The Federal Minister for Research, Technology and Space, Dorothee Bär, has now made the following appointments:
State Minister Florian Hahn represents the Foreign Office on the Board of Trustees, the Parliamentary State Secretary Dr. Bärbel Kofler, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Parliamentary State Secretary Dr. Silke Schwanzert, the Federal Minister for Research, Technology and Space and the Parliamentary State Secretary Dr. Nils Schmid, the Federal Ministry of Defense.
The minister also appointed MPs Joachim Ebmeyer (CDU/CSU) and Maja Wallstein (SPD) from the German Bundestag. Maja Wallstein was already a member of the committee in the last legislative period. The third seat is currently vacant.
The Board of Trustees is the highest body of the German Peace Research Foundation. It consists of twelve members, including five representatives from science. The task of the foundation board is to supervise the work of the board and to determine the financial, organizational and programmatic framework for the foundation’s work.
